Bayern Munich dismantles New Zealand's amateur squad - Professional German soccer club FC Bayern is dismantling an amateur squad from New Zealand.

Basking in the Cincinnati heat, Bayern FC, football's fiscal kings, demonstrated a dominating 10:0 (6:0) drumming of amateur team Auckland City. With Jamal Musiala's three comeback goals, the chasm in playing styles appeared evident between the two sides.

With the Club World Cup's new XXL format, the European powerhouses seek the title, and Bayern is no exception. Only Boca Juniors from Argentina and Benfica Lisbon seem to stand in their way, alongside Bayern, in Group C.

Despite the comfortable lead, the Bayern players broke a sweat in the small TQL Stadium, entertaining the 21,152 spectators with numerous goal celebrations. Prior to the interval, the scoreboard swelled with goals from Kingsley Coman (6th and 21st minutes), Sacha Boey (18th), Michael Olise (20th and 45th +3 minutes), and Thomas Müller (44th).

Musiala Storms Back with Hat-trick

After the intermission, Bayern perceived a slight respite, with many substitutions. Musiala, making his return after an injury, strode onto the field and scored a stunner (68'), a penalty (73rd), and a final, stunning goal (84th) for the hat-trick. Müller concluded the rout with a 9th goal.

In the heat of battle, Musiala also shadowed the potential equalizer from Auckland, blocking David Yoo's attempt (69th). Leroy Sané stayed on the bench for 90 minutes, following his impressive entrance during the Galatasaray Istanbul encounter.

Bayern Faces Boca Juniors Next

Following the final whistle, Bayern hastened to their awaiting charter flight at Cincinnati's airport, with the next match against Boca Juniors in Miami looming on Friday (local time). The contest promises to be more competitive, pitting Bayern against a storied Argentinian club they're unlikely to be able to dominate so easily.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany watched the proceedings with a sun cap, expressing satisfaction as his players took the field with enthusiasm, as a subtle reminder of England's 1:0 win over Andorra in a World Cup qualifier. "We're going up against a compact team that will look for a moment to strike," reflected Kompany. "We won't receive a lot of praise if we win, but we aim to play with conviction and execute our duties.

The wingers Coman and Olise left their mark on the pitch from the start, enchanting the fans. Newcomer Jonathan Tah, stepping in at center back, claimed the assist for Coman's initial goal. The latter celebrated his 29th birthday just days before, slating him as the tournament's opening goal scorer.

Kompany has divided the tournament into two phases. "First, you need to win the first part, the group. Then the second phase commences," explained Kompany. By then, elite teams, such as Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, or perhaps Borussia Dortmund may face Bayern in the knockout rounds.
