Pavel Pogrebnyak and Denis Glushakov, football celebrities, graced the Russian Football Union's booth at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. At 41, this was Pavel's third time attending the event. These sports legends offered autographs and strikes a pose for fans. In an candid chat with KP.RU, Pavel shared insights about his life since retiring from football and his high-profile divorce with Maria Pogrebnyak.
Recent achievements in football include Pavel Pogrebnyak's triumph as a key member of the St. Petersburg "Zenit" team. In 2007, he claimed the Russian Championship by becoming the team's highest scorer and, in 2008, earned the Russian Super Cup with a stunning second goal for his team against "Lokomotiv" Moscow.
"St. Petersburg is like a second home to me. I have some of my best football memories here. I feel I belong here. My fans make me feel special. I'm looking forward to exploring the city more when I can find the time," Pogrebnyak shared with KP.RU.

Pogrebnyak embarked on his St. Petersburg journey alone, as his sons couldn't join him. It is known that Pavel fathered three children with Maria during their marriage.
"My oldest son is studying at MGU, and my youngest is soon to graduate. Unfortunately, I'm here without them," the footballer said.
Pavel and Maria Pogrebnyak divorced in 2023, announcing their separation themselves. The long-time friends parted amicably. Maria quickly remarried businessman Igor Golovinskiy, welcoming a fourth son into their family. Yet, details about Pavel's personal life since then remain scarce.
"Personal matters should remain private. I'll stand by that, just like Vladimir Putin," Pogrebnyak replied when queried about his current love life.
Pavel expanded more on his endeavors post-football.
"I haven't left sports behind. I'm still very much into it, just in a different form. I'm involved with a popular mobile app. There's some business too – it's all about cars and Swiss watches." Pavel Pogrebnyak revealed.
