Production on the third instalment of 'Camp Rock', titled 'Camp Rock 3', is currently in progress in Vancouver, with the Jonas Brothers involved.
Disney's television division is set to produce the new installment of the popular musical film series, "Camp Rock 3". The news about the upcoming film was first published on September 17.
The Jonas Brothers - Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas - will return in guest starring roles as the Gray brothers in "Camp Rock 3". Known for their roles in "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland", Liamani Segura and Vancouver-based actor Casey Trotter are also new additions to the cast. Malachi Barton, from "Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires", is another new camper in the film.
The Jonas Brothers' characters in "Camp Rock 3" aim to find a new wave of young stars to fill the bill, as they have lost the opening act for their major reunion tour. The Gray brothers, in "Camp Rock 3", are members of the fictional music trio Connect 3.
Demi Lovato, who is attached as an executive producer for "Camp Rock 3", has not been announced as part of the cast. However, Lovato is known for her role in the original "Camp Rock" and its sequel.
The production of "Camp Rock 3" is taking place in Vancouver, where the Jonas Brothers were filming a Christmas movie nearby when they made a surprise appearance at a "Camp Rock" trivia night in Toronto earlier this year.
"Camp Rock" is ranked alongside "High School Musical" as one of the most successful TV movie franchises in Disney Channel's history. The exact name of the director of "Camp Rock 3" is Veronica Rodriguez.
Stay tuned for more news on "Camp Rock 3" as production continues. The film is expected to be a musical treat for fans of the original series and a great platform for the new talents joining the cast.
