Disney has confirmed that the third installment of the popular 'Camp Rock' series is officially in production. The film, set to air on the Disney Channel and stream on Disney Plus, will find a new generation of campers at the music-centric summer camp.

Among the new cast members are Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, Ava Jean as Madison, and Hudson Stone as Desi.

Joining the newcomers is Maria Canals-Barrera, who reprises her role as Mitchie's mother from the original films. Canals-Barrera, who is 58 years old, first appeared in the 'Camp Rock' franchise back in 2008 and 2010.

Sherry Cola also joins the cast as a new character named Lark, a role she will play exclusively in the third film.

The Jonas Brothers, who previously starred in the first two 'Camp Rock' films, are returning as the fictional band 'Connect 3' in the third movie. Demi Lovato, who played Mitchie Torres in the original films, is only on board as a producer for the third film, and will not be reprising her role.

The first film in the series, 'Camp Rock', was released in 2008, followed by 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam' in 2010. Filming for 'Camp Rock 3' has begun in Vancouver.
