Producers of 'American Idol' grieve over the music supervisor who was victim of a suspected double homicide.

In a tragic turn of events, Robin Kaye, a well-respected music supervisor for the hit TV show "American Idol" since 2009, and her husband Thomas Deluca were found dead in their Encino home on July 14, 2025. The couple was discovered after a friend called for a welfare check and let police in through a gate.

The circumstances surrounding their deaths are shrouded in mystery, but initial investigations suggest a fatal double homicide. Both Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca were found with multiple gunshot wounds, each in separate rooms of their multi-million-dollar residence.

The investigation began on July 10 when the Los Angeles Police Department was called to the residence after a neighbour reported someone jumping a fence on the couple's property. However, officers were unable to enter the property due to its fortification. Surveillance footage indicated that the suspect, 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian, was in the home for approximately 30 minutes.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Boodarian in connection with the couple's deaths. It is believed that he took the lives of Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca during a confrontation when the victims returned home. Authorities do not believe Boodarian is part of any burglary ring or acting with accomplices; it appears to be an isolated incident.

The police discovered a broken window and blood at the scene, and prior calls for burglary at the address were reported before the murders. A helicopter was flown over the home but found no signs of forced entry or trouble at the time.

Robin Kaye was a cornerstone of the "American Idol" family and was loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. She had over 40 credits as a music supervisor, dating back to the late 1990s, including her first project as a music consultant on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in 1998.

A representative for "American Idol" shared their condolences, stating that Robin will remain in their hearts forever. The investigation continues, with multiple law enforcement agencies involved. Boodarian has not yet been assigned a public defender.

In the midst of the tragic events, the entertainment industry and general news outlets have been abuzz with the double homicide of Robin Kaye, a beloved music supervisor for "American Idol," and her husband Thomas Deluca. The crime-and-justice sector is investigating the incident thoroughly, with the 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian being the primary suspect in the fatal confrontation at the couple'sEncino home.
