Hey there, reader! You know what's been buzzing lately? Witnessing people mastering FromSoftware games quicker than you can say 'You Died'! Ongbal, who once made us all look like chumps in Sekiro, is back at it again.

Just like a boss in Elden Ring Nightreign, Ongbal recently defeated one of the game's toughest enemies without taking a single hit. That's right — a flawless victory! If you haven't seen it, check out the video where Ongbal solo-ed a Nightlord as the Executor.

You might notice Ongbal's health taking a bit of a hit in the video. Don't sweat it, it's all part of the Executor's passive. This little self-inflicted pain allows them to dish out extra damage while in their Cursed Sword stance. But other than that, it's just pure, timed parry goodness.

One of the coolest aspects of the run, in my opinion, is the creative use of the Executor's ultimate. It turns out the transformation itself has iframes, letting Ongbal dodge powerful AoE attacks by dodging and then immediately using the form's weapon art to get back to parrying.

In the video description, they mention what PCG's own Ted Litchfield has said before — Nightreign is a game full of the longest boss runbacks in FromSoftware history. "The runback to the boss is so brutal," they say. "I really wish there was a practice mode or something." We hear you, buddy!

Speaking of taking down Nightreign bastards, Ongbal also beat Fulghor recently, who is the last enemy on my hitlist in my own game before I take on Heolstor. Go hitless, of course, because I need new reasons to feel bad about my own game.

All this has me seriously thinking of putting together a parry-focused build and tackling some of these challenges myself. I've been all about a status build Executor lately, but I've got enough relics to give this tanky, parry-based cousin a try.
