Upon foreign business journey, Coldplay 'kiss cam' incident ensnared Privateer Rum CEO, Andrew Cabot's spouse: insider report

Privateer Rum CEO, Andrew Cabot, found himself in a peculiar situation while abroad, as his spouse became the center of a Coldplay 'kiss cam' controversy, according to a reliable source.

In an unexpected turn of events, the alcohol industry has been shaken by a recent scandal involving Privateer Rum, a company known for its commitment to transparency, honesty, and purity.

At the centre of the controversy is Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, who was on a work-related trip in Asia when a scandal involving his wife, Kristin Cabot, occurred. The incident, which took place at Gillette Stadium during a Coldplay concert, was broadcast on the jumbotron's "kiss cam" and quickly made headlines.

Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, was also embroiled in the scandal as he was caught canoodling with Kristin Cabot at the same event. The couple's relatives were reportedly blindsided by the scandal, as there had been little indication of trouble in their marriages before the incident.

Astronomer promptly placed both Byron and Kristin Cabot on leave to investigate the incident. By last Saturday, Byron had resigned from Astronomer, with Pete DeJoy taking over as interim CEO.

Despite the scandal, Kristin Cabot has not been fired from her position at Privateer Rum, where she serves as an advisory board member. Since September 2020, Alexandra Mor and Tony Abou-Ganim have been serving as board members at Privateer Rum.

The brand, known for its use of authentic ingredients and "Made in the USA" pedigree, sells high-end bottles that can retail for upward of $100 each. The company's commitment to quality has not been affected by the scandal, but the reputation of its executives has taken a hit.

Chris Martin, Coldplay's frontman, jokingly addressed the incident, suggesting either an affair or extreme shyness. However, the couple has not made any official statements regarding the matter.

Andrew Cabot, a member of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Boston, the Cabots, who are one of the original "Boston Brahmin" clans, returned from his trip on a Saturday. Kristin Cabot, originally Stanek, married Andrew Cabot sometime after her previous divorce was finalized in 2022. The couple recently purchased a $2.2 million mansion in Rye, New Hampshire, five months before the scandal broke out.

Multiple attempts to contact Andrew Cabot and Privateer Rum for comment were unanswered. The future of Privateer Rum and its executives remains uncertain as the investigation continues.
