Unsolved Mystery Sparks 50,000 Euro Reward
Lubmin - It's been over three decades since the mysterious death of Ramona Müsebeck. Her body was discovered in a bush near the former Lubmin nuclear power plant, strangled and partially undressed. Despite tireless efforts and appeals, her murderer remains at large. Now, a private individual is offering a substantial reward to crack the case wide open.
"An anonymous donor is putting up 50,000 euros for information that can help identify Ramona's killer. This generous offer is in addition to the 2,500 euros previously offered by the public prosecutor's office," explains the Anklam criminal investigation department and the Stralsund public prosecutor's office in a joint press release. With this new incentive, the lucky informant could pocket a total of 52,500 euros.
Ramona's Last Night
Lubmin seaside resort, August 2, 1986: Ramona, a vibrant 21-year-old, joined her friends for a night of fun at the "Teufelsstein" disco. In the wee hours, she decided to pedal home to Spandowerhagen, a seven-kilometer journey. Her friends followed suit, catching a glimpse of her at the side of the road right before the town sign. They saw two bikes left alongside the asphalt, one of them belonging to Ramona. Unnoticing, they continued on their way...

The next day, hikers stumbled upon Ramona's lifeless body in the bushes. Partially clothed, she showed clear signs of strangulation. Forensic analysis revealed an unknown footprint and a discarded cigarette butt from a Polish brand near the crime scene. Despite extensive investigations, including taking fingerprints from hundreds of potential suspects across the area, no leads emerged.
Return of the Case
On September 13, 2023, the case caught the public's attention once more as it rolled into the limelight of ZDF's "Aktenzeichen XY" television program. First Chief Inspector Ulf Jokiel revisited the tragic fate of Ramona, placing a public plea for any fresh insights. Though fifty citizens responded with information, an elusive breakthrough remained elusive.
