Actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is currently being transported from Hanover, Germany, to Austria to face charges for an unpaid hotel bill. The 33-year-old, known for his roles in German films, has been in custody for approximately two weeks.

The extradition was approved by the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Germany, following an international arrest warrant issued due to a 14,000 euro debt incurred during a four-day celebration for his 30th birthday in Tyrol, Austria. The exact arrival time in Austria is still unknown.

Ochsenknecht's lawyer claims that there were still outstanding installments on the bill, and the final payment was made recently. The hotelier has confirmed receiving the payment.

The prisoner transport buses used for this purpose can accommodate up to 27 prisoners, with the specific number of passengers varying during the transport. The transport for Ochsenknecht is currently on its way to Hesse, en route to Austria. The route will pass through Bavaria and possibly part of Baden-Württemberg.

The transport of Ochsenknecht was confirmed by the spokesperson for Hanover prison to the news agency spot on news. The extradition deadline set by the court is ten days, but any last-minute legal challenges could potentially delay his arrival in Austria.

The buses used for these transports feature individual cabins where prisoners can be housed both separately and together. Ochsenknecht spent the night of Tuesday in Hanover prison, serving as a hub for nationwide transports.

This is not the first time Ochsenknecht has found himself in legal trouble. He was arrested at Hamburg Airport at the end of June for a suspected drug offence, but was released due to a lack of evidence[1][2].
