Prison escape of 41-year-old inmate, facilitated by his sister's financial intervention at BPOLI MD.

In a recent development, a 41-year-old man, whose identity remains undisclosed, was released from an arrest warrant issued by the Halle (Saale) Public Prosecutor's Office. The man had been wanted for driving without a license, an offence for which he was initially sentenced to 160 days of imprisonment or a fine of 1,920 euros by the Halle (Saale) Local Court in January 2020.

The arrest warrant was issued in May 2025, after the man failed to pay the fine in installments. On June 30, 2025, a patrol of the Federal Police at Halle (Saale) Central Station checked the wanted man. After the man's release, the Federal Police officers informed the issuing authority.

The man's sister paid 870.50 euros, allowing him to avoid imprisonment. However, no further details about the payment were disclosed.
