Ever since the tawdry love affair between Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) hit our screens, it's been rather hard to stomach the soap opera's comedy of errors. But wait till you catch a load of Kristina's (Kate Mansi) half-witted murder plot!
Kristina, in her infinite wisdom, tried to off Ava (Maura West) by sabotaging her car. Unfortunately, her aim was off target, and she wound up mangling Ric's (Rick Hearst) car instead, putting Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and poor Ric in grave danger.
The icing on the cake? Ava decides to milk this derailed disaster for all it's worth. Together with Ric, she strong-arms Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) into siphoning cash from the Cassadine estate (yep, baby Ace's hard-earned fortune). It's all in the name of keeping Kristina out of prison.
But Alexis isn't fooling around. She's not so keen on sending her kid to jail, so she attempts to deceive Ava and Ric by embezzling from the Cassadine estate. Not satisfied with creating a chaotic mess, Ava hides Ric's car and erases crucial evidence from a parking garage.
Lucky, of all people, points out in the June 2 episode that he's unwittingly become an accessory to attempted murder. The question on everyone's lips? Who's going to take the fall for this fiasco?
Our bet? If we're forced to guess, Kristina may choose to confess to attempted murder, claiming she wasn't in her right mind. Frustrated with her mother's compromises, she might even spring Michael (Rory Gibson) into action to replace the stolen cash.
If, by some miracle, Kristina manages to escape justice, Alexis could find herself behind bars once more. The irony? Had she followed Diane's (Carolyn Hennesy) advice and committed Kristina to a mental health facility, we might have dodged this disaster entirely.

And if Alexis does get pinched, she'll likely spin a wild yarn about sabotaging the car herself and embezzling funds to keep Ava and Ric quiet. Who knows? Maybe Spinelli might cook up a scheme to keep the incriminating footage at bay, and Diane could disqualify the car as evidence, seeing as Ava tampered with it.
So, brace yourselves, soap opera fans. It looks like Kristina or Alexis might find themselves adorning a silver wrist cuff soon. Here's hoping this car crash debacle reaches a resolution before the tension becomes unbearable!
