NBA Star Tristan da Silva Celebrates European Championship Victory at Kuffler's Weinzelt
Before the official tapping of the first keg to mark the start of the European Championship, basketball stars Tristan da Silva and his brother Oscar da Silva, along with several other notable figures, gathered at Kuffler's Weinzelt on the Theresienwiese.
The Kuffler Group, which includes the Weinzelt, was the venue for the celebratory event. Stephan and Sebastian Kuffler, the second-generation Wiesnwirts who run the Kuffler Group's businesses, were also present.
Tristan da Silva, a player for the Orlando Magic in the NBA, scored 13 points in the final victory against Turkey, securing Germany's place as European champions. He began his basketball career at DJK Sportbund Munich before moving to MTSV Schwabing at the age of 17 to further develop his skills. Oscar da Silva, brother of Tristan, also honed his skills at MTSV Schwabing before joining FC Bayern Munich.
During the celebration, Tristan and Oscar da Silva enjoyed a round of Paulaner wheat beer at Kuffler's Weinzelt. Oscar, who currently plays for German champions FC Bayern Munich, was also part of the German squad in the European Championship.
Kuffler's Weinzelt is renowned for its extended operating hours, staying open until 1 am, and its diverse menu. In addition to serving wine, sparkling wine, champagne, and Paulaner wheat beer during Oktoberfest, the Weinzelt also offers a special menu with cheaper prices for children during the midday Wiesn. Asian cuisine is also available at the Weinzelt.
The Weinzelt's beer service ends at 9 pm, but the celebrations continue as the venue transforms into a lively space for music and socialising. Christine da Silva, mother of Tristan and Oscar, works in the PR department for the Kuffler Group.
Tristan da Silva made significant contributions to Germany's basketball team with spectacular three-pointers in the quarter-finals against Slovenia and the semi-finals against Finland. His impressive performances on the court have solidified his status as a key player for the team.
As the European Championship comes to a close, Kuffler's Weinzelt continues to be a popular destination for revellers seeking a unique and enjoyable Oktoberfest experience. With its extended hours, diverse menu, and welcoming atmosphere, the Weinzelt offers something for everyone.
