Loving Baby Moment in Brazil - Prince William Engages Locals, Plants Trees in Brazil's Mangroves
Prince William is currently in Brazil, where he is presenting the Earthshot Prize and promoting environmental efforts. The Prince, who is a father of three, has been engaging with locals and children during his visit. William's trip has focused on meeting those working to protect mangrove forests and understanding their crucial ecosystem roles. He took a boat into the mangroves, learned about restoration projects, and even joined a tree-planting initiative as part of a reforestation program. During his visit to Paquetá Island, William interacted with the locals, including a ten-month-old baby named Joaquim Monteiro. He cradled the baby and joked about not dropping him before handing him back to his grandmother. The island, with a population of 5,000, declared the day of William's visit 'Prince’s Day' and gave children the day off school. The Prince of Wales will next present the Earthshot Prize on November 5 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His visit comes ahead of his attendance at the UN Climate Conference in Belém, starting this Thursday. On Wednesday evening, he will also present his annual Earthshot Prize, continuing his commitment to environmental causes.
