Groovy Tune in Halle: "Klosical" by Prince Singer Tobias Künzel
Timeless Music: Exploration of Epochal Symphonies and Operas - "Prince Singer's Track 'Klosical' - Absolutely No Tranquil Symphony"
Here's a scoop on the latest musical performance gracing the stage in Halle, Germany! "Klosical" by Prince singer, Tobias Künzel (60), has made a splash, first in London, and now in Halle. Originally named "Death On The Throne - The Loosical" in London, the German version is now titled "Tod auf dem Throne - Das Klosical."
Tobias Künzel, whose love for musicals is no secret, wrote this musical in collaboration with co-author Mark Underwood. "Klosical" is already his sixth work.
This quirky musical gathers an eccentric mix of famous figures from recent history. Queen Elizabeth II, Margaret Thatcher, Elvis Presley, and Erich Honecker are just a few of the cast members. The play is brought to life by two actors, four puppeteers, and a live band, with Tobias Künzel himself manning the drums.
Ever wondered how the intriguing title came about? It was a brainwave striking Künzel while he was in the loo. He and Underwood, with whom he had been working on another musical, hit it off over a few beers, and decided to collaborate on writing a musical. Künzel, fresh from the bathroom, declared it would be a "Loosical."
The original English musical needed to be translated into German, posing a challenge for Künzel. "English is smoother when it comes to music, but German always feels a bit harsh," said the artist. However, the German version includes a few jokes that are missing in the English original, and Künzel believes Mark Underwood will be surprised at the points where the audience react the most.
