Arrest for Unpaid Hotel Bill - Prince Harry’s ex-partner arrested in Mallorca over unpaid €550 hotel bill
Catherine Ommanney, a former partner of Prince Harry, has been arrested on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Authorities allege she left a hotel without paying a €550 bill after a nine-night stay. Ommanney denies the claims and insists the amount was settled in full in english to spanish translation. The incident took place at the three-star Hotel Playas del Rey in Santa Ponsa, near Magaluf. Local reports suggest the dispute led to her detention over the weekend before she appeared in court. Ommanney checked into the Hotel Playas del Rey for a nine-night stay, which reportedly cost €550. According to Spanish newspaper Última Hora, she booked the room using a credit card that had no available funds. The hotel later claimed she departed without settling the bill in spanish to english translation. On Saturday, local police arrested the 56-year-old at the hotel. That evening, she was brought before a judge in Palma de Mallorca to address the allegations. Ommanney has strongly denied any wrongdoing. In a statement, she maintained that the bill was paid in full and announced plans to pursue legal action against the accusations. The case now rests with the Spanish judicial system after Ommanney’s court appearance. She remains free while the investigation continues. The hotel and her legal representatives have yet to provide further public comment on the matter.
