Survival Show Gets First Spin-off - Prime Video's 7 vs. Wild Spin-Off Lets Fans Compete for a Spot in 2026

Prime Video is launching a new spin-off of 7 vs. Wild called the Wildcard Season. The show will give seven viewers the chance to compete for a spot in the main season in autumn 2026. Applications are now open, with fans encouraged to submit entries via YouTube or social media using #7vswildcard.

The Wildcard Season will run in spring 2026, featuring seven episodes filmed in the show's iconic locations: Sweden and Panama. YouTuber Johannes Mickenbecker, 28, will host the competition, guiding participants through the challenges.

Fans will play a key role in shaping the season. They can nominate 12 contestants for the shortlist, then vote to select the seven finalists. Viewers will also help design some of the survival challenges faced by the competitors.

The winner will earn a place in the main 7 vs. Wild season later in 2026. The spin-off aims to bring fresh faces into the series while keeping the show's signature survival format.

Submissions for the Wildcard Season are being accepted now, with entries shared through YouTube or social media. The competition will air in early 2026, offering a new way for fans to engage with 7 vs. Wild. The finalists will be chosen by public vote before the season begins.
