Poland and Slovakia evacuate their citizens through Jordan
The Israeli airspace remains shuttered due to the hostilities. Initially, neighboring countries Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria shut their airspace but reopened them for civilian flight on Saturday.
On Monday, the Polish and Slovakian governments declared their intention to ferry their trapped nationals out of Israel through Jordan. According to Polish Foreign Ministry sources, a caravan to Amman was in the pipeline. Approximately 200 individuals have allegedly signed up for the initiative.
The Slovakian government anticipated the first of two government planes destined for the conflict zone to reach Bratislava from Amman on Monday evening. The second plane was scheduled to return to Slovakia later from Cyprus.
