From June 6 to 8, the renowned "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" festivals will leave tens of thousands of festival-goers dancing and singing in delight. But the surprises don't stop there - on the opening day itself, a massive announcement was made that's got everyonetalking.
Prepare yourself for the return of Linkin Park as the headlining act for 2026! That's right, the iconic rock band will storm the Nürburgring and the parallel "Rock im Park" festival in Nuremberg for the sixth time, ready to not only reconnect with their fans but also bring a fresh, updated lineup to the stage.
If you've been following the band, you might recall the heartbreaking loss of their beloved frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. After taking a break, Linkin Park is making a triumphant comeback with their trademark blend of rock, rap, and electronic music. In September 2024, the band announced their return with a live stream concert in Burbank, California, featuring original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn, along with Emily Armstrong as the new co-lead singer. She is also a co-founder of the band Dead Sara, adding a fresh flavor to Linkin Park's signature sound. Rounding out the new lineup is drummer Colin Brittain.
