Bruzzelhütte's Unsuccessful Bid for a Special European Championship Viewing

The Bruzzelhütte on Bremer Street in Harburg was all set to offer a unique experience for football fans during the live broadcast of the European Championship (EM). However, the establishment's plans for a special viewing event took an unexpected turn.

Owned by Stefan Labann, the Bruzzelhütte had built a tribune from around 1000 pallets, aiming to provide something extraordinary for the public viewing. Unfortunately, the district office was unable to secure the necessary permit for the wooden tribune before the deadline of Friday at 3 pm. As a result, the tribune was not installed for the event.

Despite the setback, around 150 football fans attended the event on a beautiful summer evening, with the outdoor area of Bruzzelhütte equipped with "normal" chairs and tables. Labann, the owner, stated that it's "first come, first served for the best seats."

The European Championship has been a thrilling ride so far, with Germany advancing to the round of 16 after their 2:0 victory against Hungary. The next match for Germany will be against Switzerland, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 23, at 9 pm.

Labann admitted that his failure to plan earlier was the reason for not receiving the permit for the wooden tribune. He also made no mention of any new information regarding a summer fairytale or the permit for the wooden tribune.

With the wooden tribune out of the picture, Bruzzelhütte was ready for a new summer fairytale, as the outdoor area was once again equipped with chairs and tables, just in time for the kick-off against Scotland.

Despite the initial setback, the Bruzzelhütte remains a popular spot for football fans during the European Championship, with all Germany games being broadcast live. Table reservations, however, are not possible during the tournament.
