On the opening day, festival-goers were in for a treat as the organizers announced the first headliner for the coming year: none other than the iconic Linkin Park! This marks the band’s sixth time gracing the stages of both the Nurburgring and Nuremberg, and they’re bringing a brand-new lineup.

On the official Instagram page, the band broke the news late on Friday night: "2001, 2004, 2007, 2012, 2014... 2026! @linkinpark is coming home." Linkin Park's Resurgence
Linkin Park's return to the stage has been a much-awaited event after the tragic loss of Chester Bennington in 2017. The band took a break following Bennington's death but regrouped in early September 2024, announcing their comeback with a live-stream concert in Burbank, California. The band's original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn were joined by Emily Armstrong, a co-founder of the band Dead Sara, as the new co-lead vocalist. The lineup is rounded out by Colin Brittain on drums.
