Prepare for scorching hot and intense humidity in Kuwait

Kuwait is bracing for a hot and humid weather spell over the next few days, according to the latest forecasts from the country's meteorological department.

Meteorologist Fahad Al-Otaibi, speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), has predicted that temperatures will rise again by the end of the week, reaching a high of 48 degrees. This comes as the country is expected to experience clouds, rain showers, and possible thunderstorms.

Contrary to some speculation, Al-Otaibi has denied any connection between the current high humidity and the amount of rainfall expected during the rainy season. He explained that the high humidity is due to the country being affected by a humid air mass laden with water vapor.

Al-Otaibi also expects humidity levels to remain high across the country, but he anticipates a decrease by next Wednesday, with levels dropping to between 10-40 percent.

The Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, has also confirmed these weather conditions, which will be accompanied by active winds and fog. The weather conditions will persist until Monday.

It's important to note that general knowledge for Kuwait's climate in August suggests that temperatures typically range from about 35°C to over 45°C (95°F to 113°F) during daytime, often with very low humidity. Rainfall, thunderstorms, and fog are extremely rare at this time of year in Kuwait.

However, for an accurate and detailed forecast including temperature, humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and fog chances for the next few days, checking a dedicated and up-to-date local weather service or global weather platform is recommended.

Recently, scattered showers and sometimes thunderstorms have affected Kuwait's southwestern borders over the past two days. But for the rest of the country, the next two days will continue to be hot and humid.
