Let's get the lowdown on what's cookin' with FC Magdeburg as they kick off their summer training on June 18, ready to conquer the 2nd Football League! Following some mandatory health checks, our beloved squad will face off against some lower-league partner teams.
No need to pack our bags just yet, as our training camp will once again be situated in Bad Wörishofen. From July 2 to 10, we'll be training our socks off in sunny Unterallgaeu, with a group tournament in Elgg, Switzerland, featuring hype matches against Swiss first-division teams FC Luzern and FC Winterthur. Bring it on!
The action continues on July 19, when we'll take on regional league club Chemnitzer FC. Kick-off's at 4:00 PM, so mark your calendars! We'll then face Bundesliga giants VfL Wolfsburg in our season opener on July 26, with the new season officially starting on August 1. The match schedule will be available on June 27, so stay tuned!
Now, here's a juicy bit – there's still some uncertainty swirling around the coaching position for our team next season. Christian Titz, our current coach, is the man behind the fast-paced, exhilarating football we've been enjoying. With Titz's contract extended for another season, some other clubs have set their sights on this promising coach[2]. But until we hear his final word, we'll continue to root for our Magdeburg heroes!
