Comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee Become Guardians of the Annabelle Doll and Warren Museum Artifacts
In a significant turn of events, comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee have taken on the responsibility of guarding over 750 haunted artifacts, including the infamous Annabelle doll, from the Warren Museum. The duo has acquired the home and museum that once belonged to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in Monroe, Connecticut.
The Annabelle doll, a notorious haunted artifact, dates back to the 1970s when it was initially given as a gift to a nursing student. Strange activities surrounding the object were noticed by a roommate, who later sought the help of the Warrens. The couple, renowned for their paranormal investigations, claimed the doll to be possessed by an evil spirit. Their investigations were later adapted into the horror films 'The Conjuring', 'Annabelle', and 'The Nun'.
Despite the eerie history, Rife and Castee do not legally own the artifacts themselves. The actual ownership remains with Tony Spera, the Warrens’ son-in-law and co-director of their organization, who has leased the collection to Rife and Castee for a fee. The New England Society for Psychic Research, founded by the Warrens, has not made any plans to sell the artifacts.
The Annabelle doll was not present in the hotel room where Dan Rivera, a paranormal investigator who was touring with the doll, was found dead in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on July 13. Rivera's death was ruled "natural", and the final results of an autopsy are still pending.
Rife, who is known to be obsessed with the paranormal, considers 'The Conjuring' movies his favorite horror films. Along with his friend, he plans to open the house for overnight stays and museum visits. The house and museum include the entire collection of haunted dolls and artifacts, providing a chilling experience for those who dare to venture inside.
Ed and Lorraine Warren brought demonology and the paranormal into the spotlight and are at the centre of some of the most famous scary stories of all time. Their home and museum, now under the care of Rife and Castee, promises to continue to intrigue and terrify visitors for years to come.
