Premier League's Egersdorf clinches Wanderpokal victory
In a celebration of traffic safety and education, Class 4b from the Rangau-Grundschule in Egersdorf emerged victorious in the Youth Traffic School Competition held on July 31, 2025, in the District of Fürth.
Led by their dedicated teacher, Mrs. Bunke, the children of Class 4b received well-deserved accolades from various dignitaries. Matthias Riedel, the head of the Zirndorf police station, commended the children for their outstanding performance, while Cadolzburg's second mayor, Dr. Georg Krauß, representing the mayor, also offered his praise. Landrat Bernd Obst, the traffic police, and Dr. Krauß himself congratulated the winners, recognising the consistent success in traffic education at the school.
The children's hard work was rewarded with medals for their achievement in the traffic school, as well as a monetary award of 100 euros for their class fund. To mark the occasion, the trophy awarded to Class 4b was filled with gummy bears, a sweet treat to celebrate their victory.
Class 4b wasn't the only one to impress at the competition. Class 4e/f from the Grundschule Stein took second place, and Class 4c of the Grundschule Cadolzburg secured third place in the practical cycling test. The police were particularly pleased with the children's traffic safety during the cycling test, expressing their satisfaction with the overall standard of the event.
A total of 1,156 children from 55 fourth-grade classes at 14 primary schools in the district of Fürth participated in the cycling test. The win by Class 4b from the Rangau-Grundschule Egersdorf marks the second time in a row that a fourth-grade class from the school has received this award, making the school the proud holder of the travelling trophy of the youth traffic school.
The Rangau-Grundschule Egersdorf is thrilled about their win, with the school's principal expressing pride in the children's achievements. The commemorative trophy for the school was also awarded, further cementing their position as the champions of the Youth Traffic School Competition.
This victory is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the children, their teachers, and the school in promoting traffic safety and education. The Rangau-Grundschule Egersdorf continues to set an exemplary standard in these areas, inspiring other schools in the region to follow suit.
