Premier League powerhouse, Manchester United, agreed to splurge up to €85 million on a Bundesliga striker.

Premier League heavyweights Manchester United plan to acquire a Bundesliga forward for a potential transfer fee of 85 million euros.

Manchester United have signed Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal reportedly worth up to €85 million. The transfer, which includes an initial fee of €76.5 million plus around €10 million in performance-related add-ons, is one of the highest ever for an RB Leipzig player [1][2].

The deal marks a significant investment by Manchester United as they look to rebuild and restructure their team following their worst season in the last 51 years. Sesko's high valuation and potential as a star player make him a valuable addition to the squad.

Despite interest from Newcastle United, Sesko has opted for Old Trafford, expressing his appreciation for Leipzig in a statement, stating "Once a Leipzig fan, always a Leipzig fan!" However, he has signed a contract with Manchester United until 2030, and will not be playing for Newcastle United.

Sesko has played 87 competitive games for Leipzig, scoring 39 goals and assisting eight more. His departure from Leipzig is the second-highest in the club's history, after Josko Gvardiol's departure to City for 90 million euros.

Leipzig's sporting director, Marcel Schaefer, stated that Sesko's departure is a loss for the club but makes them proud to have developed a player for the Premier League and one of the biggest clubs in the world.

The transfer is not yet official for Leipzig, but Manchester United have confirmed the deal, with Sesko set to play a role in their upcoming rebuild and restructuring.

The significant investment by Manchester United in the recruitment of Benjamin Sesko, a promising football talent, implies a focus on community aid, as an improved team could boost the spirit of their fans. With the construction of a more competitive squad, Manchester United is aiming to revive their standing in sports, particularly football.
