Preliminary Outcome of the Local Elections 2025
The results for the various elections held in Menden, Germany on September 14, 2025, are now available. Here's a breakdown of the preliminary final results and important information for citizens who have voted or wish to vote in the runoff election.
For the Integration council, County council, Landrat, and Mayor positions, the preliminary final results are now available. The details of the candidates elected for the City council (Stadtrat) in Menden are yet to be announced.
If you have voted by mail for the municipal election on September 14, 2025, you can expect to receive your voting materials in the coming days. However, if you wish to vote in person during the runoff election, you can do so at the New Town Hall (1st floor, Neumarkt 5).
The mail-in voting office in the New Town Hall will be open from September 18, 2025. Citizens who wish to apply for mail-in voting now can do so personally at the town hall, online, or by email at wahlen@unsere website. The online application for mail-in voting for the runoff election is possible until Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
It's important to note that citizens are required to bring a valid photo ID and their voter notification to the mail-in voting office. If you no longer have your voter notification, you can also vote at your polling station with your ID card or passport.
Application and direct voting at the mail-in voting office is possible until Friday, September 26, 2025, until 3 pm. The mail-in voting office will be open from Monday to Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
On September 28, 2025, the polling stations will be open from 8 am to 6 pm. A runoff election for the position of Mayor will take place on this day between Manuela Schmidt (CDU) and Jens Wilkens (SPD).
The red voting envelope (for mail-in voting) must be received by the election office no later than Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 4 pm.
