Western and Eastern Uttar Pradesh will experience very heavy rainfall, mainly on August 5, with some heavy to moderate rains continuing later.

Northern plains and Delhi/NCR

Delhi/NCR is expected to experience light to moderate rain with thundershowers and occasional moderate to heavy spells from August 9-12. Maximum temperatures will be around 34-36°C, and minimum temperatures will be 23-27°C with slight deviations from normal. Southwest winds at 10-15 kmph are likely.

Central and Eastern India

Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand will see temperatures markedly above normal in early August, which might influence local weather dynamics. Bihar and eastern Rajasthan are expected to experience heavy showers intermittently around August 3-4.

South India, including Tamil Nadu and Kerala

Tamil Nadu and Kerala will experience extremely heavy rainfall, particularly over the Western Ghats and coastal regions on August 5-7, with sustained heavy to very heavy rain expected throughout this period. Coastal Karnataka and Rayalaseema will experience temperatures above normal and active weather systems.

South and coastal Karnataka will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 5 and 6. Active monsoon conditions are expected to bring heavy to extremely heavy showers in many regions. Jharkhand, Odisha, and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will also see periodic heavy downpours. Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall, especially between August 5 and 7.

Northwest India is bracing for intense showers, especially in the hilly states. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are expected to experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over the coming days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh will experience isolated heavy rainfall on August 5-7.
