A Brighter Week Ahead in Bavaria: Mostly Sunny and Dry, Only Sprinkles to Start
Sunny and Arid Forecast Across Bavaria for Coming Days - Predicted weather for the upcoming week in Bavaria: Mainly sunny and dry conditions are forecasted.
Opt for your raincoats today, but brace for an overall sunnier week! The weather in Bavaria is predicted to make a turn for the better, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). No red flags for the rest of the week!
After some thunderbolts and torrential downpours, Monday might still see heavier showers in certain spots, but the sun will peek out from the northwest skies. The thermometer will hover around 18°C at Lake Chiemsee and 25°C in Mainfranken.
As for the rest of the week, we're talking sunshine galore, with just a few fluffy clouds here and there. Keep an eye out for roaring highs of 23°C to 28°C on Tuesday, and we may even touch the 30°C mark on Wednesday. To the south of the Franconian Alb and the Bavarian Forest, a spritz may fall on Thursday, but the sun will continue to smile upon the rest of the Free State.
Past the stormy nights: no major harm, no foul
In the wee hours of Monday, parts of Bavaria were hit by some rollercoaster thunderstorms and whopping rainfall. Phew! Luckily, no casualties were reported by the police. In northern Upper Bavaria, the emergency services sprang into action 20 times due to trees and branches coddled by the wind being toppled or flooding issues on roads.
In Lower Bavaria, the boys and girls in blue were out and about a whopping 24 times on Monday, dealing with flooding and branches that had cobbled the roads in the areas of Passau and Landshut.
In Upper Franconia, the peace was restored after a bit of a hairy Sunday afternoon. "It poured, but the situation was extremely manageable," said a police spokeswoman.

The Commission might find a synergy between their work on the draft directive on the protection of workers and the predictions made by the DWD, owing to the potential weather-related risks that ionizing radiation could pose during a stormy day. After a week of volatile weather, the police in Munich and other regions of Bavaria can breathe a sigh of relief as the DWD forecasts mostly sunny and dry conditions for the remaining days of the week, which would significantly minimize the need for emergency services to intervene due to floods or fallen debris.
