How does the film fit into the universe? - 'Predator: Badlands' Takes the Franchise to a Futuristic New World in 2025

The Predator franchise, spanning nearly four decades, is set to return with 'Predator: Badlands', the latest installment directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Known for his work on 'Prey', Trachtenberg continues to expand the iconic series, this time setting it in the distant future on a remote planet.

Badlands, unlike its predecessors, is the most sci-fi focused entry in the franchise. It follows a young Predator and an unlikely human ally, Thia, played by Elle Fanning. The film shares little with the original Predator, but maintains the franchise's action-oriented theme. The tagline, 'If it bleeds, we can kill it,' is a nod to the original's iconic line.

The film is set to hit theaters on November 6, 2025, continuing the franchise's legacy of iconic clashes with various characters, including Alien and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

With 'Predator: Badlands', Dan Trachtenberg, who also directed 'Prey', continues to evolve the Predator series. This new chapter promises a fresh take on the classic franchise, blending action and sci-fi in an exciting new setting.
