Nineteen-year-old forward Precious Benjamin has joined Austrian side SCR Altach on loan from TSG Hoffenheim. The move will keep him at the club until the end of the season, offering regular playing time in the Austrian Bundesliga. Hoffenheim’s sport director sees this as a key step for his growth.

Benjamin arrived at Hoffenheim just over a year ago from Nigeria’s Grassrunners FC. Since then, he has yet to make an official competitive appearance for the German side. His only inclusion in the first-team squad came during the DFB-Pokal clash with Bayern Munich in the fourth round, though he remained unused.

Altach, currently ninth in the Austrian Bundesliga, will now provide Benjamin with a chance to gain experience. Andreas Schicker, Hoffenheim’s director of sport, has stated that the Austrian club offers the right environment for the young forward’s development.

The loan deal runs until the season’s end, giving Benjamin an opportunity to prove himself in competitive matches. His progress will be closely watched by Hoffenheim, who see this period as crucial for his future. Altach, meanwhile, gains a promising attacker for their push in the league.
