Saarbrücken - As his career winds down, table tennis powerhouse Timo Boll and his club, Borussia Düsseldorf, are charging towards the Champions League final. In the semi-finals of the Final Four tournament in Saarbrücken, Boll's squad outwitted the Polish club, KS Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki, 3:1. The grand finale is set to unfold this Sunday afternoon (2:00 PM/Dyn) at the Saarlandhalle.
Timo Boll, the 44-year-old German record holder, has pocketed an astounding seven Champions League titles—five with Borussia Düsseldorf and two with TTV Gönnern.
