Got some epic news for ya! Our own Prime Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, has celebrated a double win! We've got a new Miss World and a record-breaking badminton champion! 🏆🏸

Yea, you heard it right! Our very own Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri bagged the Miss World title for 2025, making history as the very first Thai woman to claim the crown in the pageant's 75-year run!

On the other hand, Kunlavut Vitidsarn is about to create another milestone as he's all set to become Thailand's first men's singles badminton player to ever reach world No. 1. That's right, contingent on the final round of the BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament! If he pulls it off, he'll join the exclusive club of Thai shuttlers who've held the top spot: Ratchanok Intanon (women's singles, 2016), and mixed doubles pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai (2021).

PM Paetongtarn took to Facebook and X to shower both Suchata and Kunlavut with accolades, appreciating their hard work and determination that brought these remarkable triumphs. She mentioned that their successes will inspire not just the youth, but the entire Thai population!

Here's to these fabulous Thai representatives! They're making the whole country immensely proud! 🇹🇭 beating hearts

Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri's victory in the Miss World 2025 pageant has significantly boosted the nation's health and wellness, while Kunlavut Vitidsarn's potential ascent to the world No. 1 spot in badminton's men's singles further cements Thailand's reputation in the sports industry.
