The New York Giants could've snagged a hidden gem with their fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, reckons Jake Plummer, a former NFL Pro-Bowler and fellow Sun Devil alumni.
Plummer was blown away by Arizona State's running back Cam Skattebo, who led the Big 12 in rushing yards last season and finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting. Plummer can't fathom how far Skattebo dropped in the draft, calling it "unbelievable."
"I can't believe he fell that far in the draft to be honest with you," Plummer stated during a recent appearance on "The Ricky Cobb Show."

In Plummer's opinion, the Giants got a steal. No matter the narratives about Skattebo's speed or wear and tear, he's a football player through and through, Plummer insisted.
"He found himself in the right place... he can run the ball well, he can catch the ball well, and in this league you better know how to pass block. Skattebo's got that covered from the running back position," Plummer explained.

"I'm excited to see how he does at the next level," Plummer added.
The Giants hope Skattebo will team up with Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the backfield, aiming to create one of the best running back duos in the league. Last season, Tracy Jr., a fifth-round rookie out of Purdue, started 12 games and recorded 839 yards and five rushing touchdowns with 38 catches for 284 yards and one receiving touchdown.
