As I strolled towards Soroka Medical Centre in Beersheba, Israel, the lingering smoke in the city's core was a grim reminder of the recent Iranian missile attack.

The Israeli leadership promptly visited the site. President Isaac Herzog initiated the visit, followed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who declared, "We adore Donald Trump," while advocating for the annihilation of Iran.
The Israeli government portrays the incident at the medical centre as a "war crime," vowing to make Iran pay dearly and implying that they are on the brink of a substantial victory.
But the nature of that victory is vague, and Iran shows no signs of backing down.
