Potential relocation of Pari NH's home games to Moscow, owing to certification troubles in Saransk.
Upgrading the Game at Pari Nizhny Novgorod's Saransk Stadium
It's full steam ahead for Pari Nizhny Novgorod as they strive to get their fan identification system (FIS) approved at the Saransk stadium for upcoming fights in the new season. The General Secretary of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Maxim Mitrofanov, spilled the beans to "Match TV" about their plans.
But here's the catch: Approving the FIS is an essential prerequisite for hosting Russian Premier League (RPL) matches in Mordovia.
According to Mitrofanov, the Saransk stadium is already sporting an access control system, but now the focus is on getting that FIS certification. The club is pushing to complete the process on schedule, but if they miss the deadline, they might have to splash the cash on renting a stadium in Moscow, nudging up their costs.
Earlier, RPL President Alexander Alayev hinted that Pari NN could kick off the season in Kazan, while Pari NN's General Director David Meliq-Guseinov confirmed that the stadium in Nizhny Novgorod would be closing for repairs.
Last season, Pari NN ended up in 13th place in the championship, but a disappointing loss in the playoff matches against Sochi (2:1 at home, 1:3 away) meant they initially lost their RPL spot. However, things took a turn for the better - thanks to a majority of league clubs vouching for their return rather than the "Khimki" club, which didn't receive an RFU license for the next season.

Bookmakers across European-leagues have their eyes on Pari NN as they work towards getting their FIS approved at the Saransk stadium, with the RPL season fast approaching. A failure to meet the deadline could see them playing their home matches in the Premier League at a stadium in Moscow, increasing costs and potentially shifting betting odds significantly.
