Elton Retiring from Mainstream TV... Kinda! Here's the Real Deal
Potential Deployment Options for the Individual: 1, 2, or 3? - Potential Outcome for his Tenure at "1, 2, or 3"?
Get ready for a change, folks! Elton (53), the beloved entertainer, is stepping back from his TV gigs - but don't worry, he's not disappearing completely! You can breathe easy knowing that your favorite children's quiz show host will still be present on "1, 2 oder 3". A ZDF spokesperson confirmed to spot on news that Elton will carry on as part of the show.
Elton's TV Shuffle
This week, Elton revealed he'd be leaving "Who Knows What?" after 10 years as team captain. His final episode is set for April 26, as the entertainer aims to focus more on his personal life. Last year, he parted ways with ProSieben. His sudden departure from "Beat the Star" in April 2024 garnered attention due to ProSieben's lackluster communication. Soon after that, the RTL show "Blamieren oder Kassieren," often associated with Elton, was also axed.
Elton's Remaining Shows
Regardless of the changes, Elton still has fans hooked. Besides "1, 2 oder 3", he's been hosting the RTL game show "Eltons 12" since November 2024 - a format created by Stefan Raab (58). He also keeps popping up in shows produced by his mentor, such as "Stefan & Bully gegen irgendson Schnulli" and recently, as a juror in the German ESC preliminary round "Chefsache ESC".
Back in the day, Elton, aka Alexander Duszat, kick-started his TV career in 2001 as a "show trainee" and Raab's sidekick on ProSieben's "TV total". After Raab stepped back from TV, Elton went on to host various spin-offs of "Beat the Raab" until last year.
