Potential Absence of DC Studios at San Diego Comic-Con in 2023's Lineup
It seems like the lowdown for San Diego Comic-Con 2023, but let's talk about the gist for this year, yeah? It's looking like DC Studios is taking a break on the big cinematic reveal biz, much like Marvel, according to the chatter floating around in the Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision newsletter. They don't plan on teasing Superman or Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow at the annual shindig this year. Superman will be a fortnight old by then, and Supergirl is still nine months away. Plus,Reportedly, things are moving a tad slow on The Batman Part II and The Authority. So, DC's in no hurry to spill the beans just yet.
But don't fret, Comic-Con attendees! Peacemaker's got your back. With its second season set todrop in mid-August, DC's all in, so says Heat Vision. Peacemaker will be making a big splash at the event, and though DC remained tight-lipped, there could be a Hall H panel for the show.
As for other big DC projects on HBO Max, like the Lanterns series, they're currently in production. Depending on how far along things are, it could make a splash of some kind at Comic-Con.
