Season of Cheer Despite Struggles: 'Post mit Herz' Campaign Returns

Loneliness, a pre-pandemic issue affecting numerous communities, including senior care homes and the homeless, continues to be a concern. In an attempt to make the Christmas season a little brighter for these individuals, the "Post mit Herz" campaign is reigniting its spirit.

Announcing their return in Hamburg, the organizers highlighted the grim reality: "Thousands of people will spend their Christmas in loneliness, marked by social isolation and further exacerbated by the uncertainties that current events have brought upon us," they said.

The aim of this heartfelt campaign is to share smiles with those in need, delivering joyous messages and heartfelt cards to care facilities, homeless shelters, and orphanages. Volunteer writers can sign up for free on the platform's website starting December 3. Once registered, the organizers will send the cards and letters to the social institutions.

Over 12 months, volunteers of the "Post mit Herz" initiative have been working tirelessly, having already touched the lives of over 360,000 people.

Staying Connected in Isolation

In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the 'Post mit Herz' campaign continues to connect us during this challenging holiday season. Simply by sending a heartfelt message, we can help make someone's day a little brighter - connecting through shared humanity and love.
