HSC Berg Braces for Upcoming Matches Amidst Early Setback

Hammer-Sport-Club Berg (HSC Berg), the local football team based in Hamminkeln, is gearing up for their next two matches before the start of the C-league season. The team, currently playing in the Kreisliga C, will face the fourth team of TuB Mussum and the third team of SV Biemenhorst, as they look to assess their current standing and prepare for the upcoming season.

The team's preparations, however, have been marred by an early setback. In their first match of the season, HSC Berg suffered a heavy 0:10 defeat at the hands of the newly-promoted Oberligist, HSC Berg. The opposition, who aim to measure themselves against yet unidentified opponents, had Finn Mayer and Christoph Linkwitz (2) scoring for the visiting team from the B-league.

Despite this disappointing result, coach Dieter Helmert remains optimistic. He expressed satisfaction with the team spirit, stating that the boys give their all and are always present in large numbers. However, he acknowledged that the team struggled at the back in the match against HSC Berg.

Last season, HSC Berg finished in a commendable second place in the league. This year, the team aims to build upon this success and finish in the top 3. Notably, the team's current squad remains unchanged from last season, with no transfers, either departures or new signings, having been made.

The league, now a 9-team league, has seen the addition of two new teams: STV Hünxe's third team and TuS Drevenack's reserve team. The team's second match of the season is scheduled against the second team of Weseler SV on August 17th.

Coach Helmert's goal for the season remains to play at the top again, but he wants to take it one game at a time. As the team prepares for their next matches, they will look to rectify their early season woes and make a strong showing in the C-league.

With no specific information available about HSC Berg's plans and expectations for the upcoming season, fans and supporters are eagerly awaiting official communications from the club for updates on their goals and outlook.

Despite the disappointing loss in their first match of the season, HSC Berg is determined to bounce back and perform well in their upcoming football matches, especially in the Kreisliga C. The team, led by coach Dieter Helmert, will focus on strengthening their defense while continuing to exhibit strong team spirit as they prepare for their next matches.
