Google Predictions for ESC 2025: Could Abor & Tynna Shock in Basel?

Possibility of Germany Stunning with Liner Ships Abor and Tynna?

Additional Perspective [2] [3] [4] [5]

The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) of the year 2025 is almost upon us. In approximately 16 months, on Saturday, May 17, it will take place in Basel. As Germany's representatives, we'll see the Vienna siblings Attila and Tünde Bornemisza, performing as music duo Abor & Tynna.

Previously found and selected through a grueling series of ARD and RTL pre-selection shows by Stefan Raab, the entertainer has set his sights high, aiming to triumph once more at ESC with his protégés. He achieved this feat in 2010 with Lena Meyer-Landrut, who won in Oslo with the tune "Satellite."

So, will Abor & Tynna replicate the same success with their song "Baller"? The odds, according to bookmakers, suggest otherwise. However, an analysis of Google search queries presents a contrasting picture. "Baller" appears to be a formidable competitor when compared to its rivals.

Spain Tops, Germany Second

Google has gathered and analyzed the most searched ESC entries for the year 2025 and shared the data. The share of search interest in all participating countries from the past 30 days was compared. According to this statistical analysis, "Baller" occupies about 13% of queries, taking second position and narrowly losing out to another song. The highest ranking goes to Spain's Melody and "Esa diva" with 14%.

Entertainment [3] [4] [5] Meanwhile, France and Sweden share third place. Louane from France is there with "Maman" as is the Swedish group KAJ with "Bara bada bastu". Both account for 12%. The United Kingdom occupies the fifth position, with Remember Monday at number five with "What The Hell Just Happened?" and 11%.

The top ten also includes Claude (Netherlands) with "C'est la vie", JJ (Austria) with "Wasted Love", Lucio Corsis (Italy) with "Volevo essere un duro", Zoë Më (Switzerland) with "Voyage", and Ziferblat from Ukraine with "Bird Of Pray".

Germany's Anticipation

In Germany, there was a particularly strong interest in the following five songs, excluding "Baller". In descending order, these were: "Bird of Pray", "Bara bada bastu", "Wasted Love", "Voyage", and "Esa diva".

Countries showing a high interest in Abor & Tynna include Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

Due to Germany being one of the "Big Five" countries, alongside France, Spain, the UK, and Italy, it automatically qualifies for the Eurovision Song Contest final. The first semi-final occurs on May 13th at 9 PM, followed by the second semi-final on May 15th at the same time. In between, on May 14th at 8:15 PM, Stefan Raab will host his own ESC show on RTL and RTL+ from Basel. The big ESC day is on May 17th, when the winner of the contest will be crowned.

InsightsForecasts for the year 2025's Eurovision Song Contest indicate that Germany's Abor & Tynna, with their song "Baller," could secure a notable position in the competition. The unique music style, innovative performance, positive messaging, and fan engagement are factors that support this prospect[2][3][4][5].

  1. Despite seeing Germany's representatives, Abor & Tynna, not expressing confidence in their ability to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) of 2025, their song "Baller" emerges as a contentious competitor according to Google search data.
  2. In instance that Abor & Tynna's "Baller" outperforms other entries, it could potentially pose a threat to Spain's Melody and her song "Esa diva," which currently holds the top position in Google searches for the ESC 2025.
  3. If supportive trends continue for "Baller," Abor & Tynna could find themselves cultivating a strong fanbase akin to that of their mentor Stefan Raab's protégé, Lena Meyer-Landrut, who won in 2010 with the song "Satellite" at the ESC.
  4. As the Eurovision Song Contest of 2025 approaches, Abor & Tynna and their music, like Tynna's WhatsApp conversations with her colleagues backstage, will blend the entertainment, music, and sports worlds in an unforgettable way.
