Dating Show Needs to Take a Break - Popular Vox Dating Show 'First Dates' Taking a Break

Vox's popular dating show 'First Dates - A Table for Two' is taking a break. The show, hosted by Chef Roland Trettl, will pause production for programming reasons, but it is not cancelled. Trettl has not yet commented on the break.

Despite its popularity, the show's viewership has been declining. Vox has announced that it will stop producing new episodes at the end of the year. However, viewers can expect pre-produced episodes to air in 2026. The show's spin-off, 'First Dates Hotel', will continue as usual.

'First Dates - A Table for Two' airs weekdays at 6:00 PM on Vox, or earlier on RTL+. In 2023, the show has been averaging over eight percent market share in the 14-49 age group.

The break in production for 'First Dates - A Table for Two' is due to programming reasons and not a cancellation. The show's future beyond 2026 remains uncertain. Meanwhile, the spin-off 'First Dates Hotel' continues unaffected.
