Pope Francis' condolences book has been signed by Prime Minister [Name], expressing sympathy following the Pope's hospitalization.

In a heartfelt gesture, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra recently made a visit to the Apostolic Nunciature of Thailand, the Vatican embassy, to pen her condolences in the book of remembrance following the demise of Pope Francis.

On April 21, the esteemed Pope passed away at the age of 88 in Vatican City. His funeral mass was held on the 26th of April at the iconic St Peter's Basilica in Rome.

Joining the Prime Minister in paying their respects were Paolo Dionisi, the Italian ambassador to Thailand, and Dr Somsak Leeswadtrakul, a prominent Thai businessman and philanthropist, who was bestowed with the Knights Grand Cross of the Pontifical Order of St Gregory the Great – one of the Catholic Church's highest honors for laypersons.

Prior to this, Ms Paetongtarn took to social media to express her melancholy over the Pope's passing.

"Extending our deepest condolences from the heart of Thailand, we express our profound sorrow for the loss of His Holiness Pope Francis," she penned.

"Throughout his life, His Holiness demonstrated unyielding compassion, moral courage, unparalleled humility, and tireless efforts in pursuit of peace. We join the world in grieving the loss of a great beacon of humanity. May His Holiness find eternal repose."

Typically, such occasions see condolences and tributes from religious leaders within the Vatican, heads of state, interfaith representatives, and prominent public figures who share the pope's dedication to social justice, environmentalism, or interfaith dialogue. These tributes and condolences may take time to be announced or reported, so official Vatican communications or verified news outlets are the best sources for up-to-date information. [1][2][3]
