The single, featuring Fischer as the "Mama Shark" and Waalkes as the "Papa Shark", is set to be released on August 8, 2025, and will form part of Fischer's upcoming children's album "The Most Beautiful Children's Songs (Dance & Celebrate)" due for release in September.
In a 30-second clip already making the rounds on Instagram and TikTok, Fischer and Waalkes appear in an animated comic-style setting. The video features Fischer pushing a stroller adorned with a baby-dressed Waalkes, who is seen laughing from within. Waalkes dons his famous cap with wings and a dark blue suit with matching sneakers.
This collaboration marks Fischer's second foray into children's music, following the success of her album "The Most Beautiful Children's Songs" released last year. Fischer's love for music for children makes this collaboration with Waalkes, a well-known children's figure, particularly fitting.
The original "Baby Shark" song, made popular by the South Korean company Pinkfong, has been viewed over 16 billion times on YouTube and is among the most watched videos worldwide.
