Majority of our respondents were aged between 41-60, with a slight edge towards the 41-50 age bracket. Most hail from Augsburg itself, making up 71%, while the rest come from nearby areas.

"Even if the VAT drops to 7%, restaurateurs won't pass the savings on to the customers," comments one participant.
Despite the increased costs, 58% of the diners still tip as generously as before. Tip-worthy service is critical for 28%.
