Poll Finds Democrat National Pride at an All-Time Low While America Commemorates Independence Day Celebrations

As America gears up for its Independence Day celebrations, the nation is experiencing a shift in national pride, according to a recent Gallup poll. National pride is reportedly at an all-time low, with only 36% of Democrats feeling "extremely or very proud" to be American, compared to 92% of Republicans. This divide in patriotism has become a defining feature of the national landscape.

In the midst of this, President Donald Trump is preparing for a patriotic Fourth of July celebration. The White House has announced that the celebration will extend beyond the holiday weekend, with a year-long lead-up to America's 250th anniversary next year. The festivities will culminate in Washington, D.C., where the president is expected to sign the "One Big Beautiful Bill," a landmark piece of legislation that aligns with his vision for economic growth, national security, and social policies.

The "One Big Beautiful Bill" is a comprehensive legislative package recently passed by the U.S. Congress, aimed at advancing President Trump's domestic agenda. The bill represents a major legislative victory for the president, particularly in his second term, encapsulating key elements of his campaign promises. It has been described as delivering on a commonsense agenda supported by nearly 80 million Americans.

The bill includes the largest middle-class tax cut in U.S. history, making most of the tax cuts from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent. It also provides the largest one-time investment in border security in American history and includes massive military funding to support national defense initiatives. The legislation aims to foster economic growth by providing tax incentives for businesses that manufacture more in the U.S. and hire American workers. It also includes provisions to support agriculture, such as making crop insurance more affordable and protecting family farms from the death tax.

However, the fiscal implications and potential impact on healthcare and nutrition programs are subjects of ongoing debate. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the bill will add approximately $3.4 trillion to federal deficits over the next decade. It is partially funded by significant cuts to healthcare and nutrition programs, such as Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The Fourth of July celebration will also see a nod to the president's legislative victory. In a twist, President Trump hinted at hosting a UFC fight on the White House grounds as part of the Independence Day celebrations. Another significant gesture of patriotism and appreciation was extended to B2 bomber pilots who conducted strikes in Iran, who were invited to the Fourth of July celebration.

In a move that underscores the president's commitment to his domestic agenda, he began the Fourth of July festivities early by celebrating America's 249th birthday with a stop in Iowa. The national fair, scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. in 2026, will also showcase each state and American innovation, further emphasising the president's vision for a prosperous and united America.

  1. The "One Big Beautiful Bill," a significant piece of legislation that reinforces President Trump's domestic agenda, has created a stir in the realm of war-and-conflicts, politics, and general news due to its ambitious plans for border security, military funding, and economic growth.
  2. Amidst America's lowered national pride, as evidenced by the Gallup poll, and ongoing debates about healthcare and nutrition programs, the Fourth of July celebration, including a possible UFC fight on the White House grounds and an invitation to B2 bomber pilots who conducted strikes in Iran, is a gesture intended to reignite patriotism and unite the nation.
