Politician Wike declares forgiveness towards Fubara, as stated in his recent remarks.
In a significant development, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has confirmed putting aside past differences with Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. Wike made this confirmation during an interview on Channels Television's 'Politics Today' programme on Thursday.
Wike accused unnamed individuals of attempting to frustrate the peace process by deliberately twisting legal interpretations surrounding the conduct of local government elections in Rivers State. However, he did not specify who these individuals are or any specific actions they took to prevent alleged illegality in the first place.
Despite the allegations, Wike praised President Bola Tinubu for his intervention in restoring peace in the USA. He further stated that peace had returned to the State. The Speaker of the Rivers State assembly has also expressed the need to move forward.
