Politician Kwankwaso Discusses Party Loyalty After Victory, Citing Betrayal by Elected Officials

In a fiery speech, Kwankwasiyya movement leader and NNPP Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has decimated politicians who jump ship to rival parties after thriving on the mass support they receive. According to our sources, he argued that such defections amount to the "greatest political sin" and a profound display of disloyalty.

Recently, Kwankwaso received a contingent of defectors from Takai Local Government Area of Kano South into the NNPP at his Miller Road residence, a move he clearly appreciates considering the recent high-profile defections to the APC, including Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila and Kabiru Alhassan Rurum. This political churn leaves a sour taste in Kwankwaso's mouth, as he considers it a flagrant betrayal of the masses who trusted these politicians.

Reminiscing about the Kwankwasiyya movement's turbulent past, Kwankwaso recalled the movement's unwavering resolve in the face of adversity, especially in 2015. He contends that, in spite of the attempted sabotage by those with ulterior motives, the movement remains steadfast.

"We all know the history of this movement. Regrettably, in 2015, some individuals joined us with insincere intentions. They stirred discord and attempted to disrupt the movement. But luckily, the movement did not falter," he affirmed.

Kwankwaso posits that each electoral cycle bring forth valuable lessons. As the 2019 elections unfolded, he observed that those who swayed votes through small bribes, such as ₦2,000, in Kano South learned to regret their actions when the NNPP eventually triumphed.

"This movement is for the people. It is a movement that responsible individuals must ponder deeply. It's not about money. Even what transpired in Kano South should serve as a lesson," he maintained.

In his criticism, Kwankwaso points to politicians who abandon their former parties after winning elections with the people's votes. He despondently states, "This is the epitome of treachery in a democratic setting. I haven't come across a graver political sin than when vulnerable people vote for you-overturning deceivers and opponents of progress-and you then join those exact enemies after prevailing. Had the people known, they would not have cast their votes for you," he asserts.

In a stern message to other politicians, Kwankwaso asserts that attempting to undermine the Kwankwasiyya movement is a grave misstep. "Engaging in battle with the Kwankwasiyya movement is a grievous error for any politician. One may not understand the implications of such a move until he takes the plunge-and then he'll realize how daunting it is to challenge a solid bastion," he forewarns.

Kwankwaso underlines the unity of the Kwankwasiyya movement and its intent to improve the lives of the common man. Fueled by the determination of the masses, he vows that the movement will continue to flourish and alleviate the suffering of the people, congratulating the new members for joining the NNPP.
