Political rivals Lapid and Bennett jostle for the incorporation of Eisenkot's political party
New Party Yashar Announces Founding Members
Last night, former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot announced the establishment of a new political party named Yashar. The party, which aims to work for repair, healing, and hope for Israeli society, has already garnered significant news, with a list of 120 founders, including Eisenkot himself.
Among the founders are some prominent figures from the tech, political, and military sectors. Nir Zohar, president of Wix and a tech entrepreneur, has joined the ranks of Yashar's founders. Inbar Giti-Harush, former CEO of 'Acharai!' and an official at the Defense Ministry, is also a founder. Maj. Gen. (res.) Tal Russo, a former Member of Knesset, has also lent her support to the new party.
From the political sphere, Col. (res.) Matan Kahana, former Minister of Religious Services, is a founder. Yoav Horowitz, former director-general of the Prime Minister's Office and a close associate of Netanyahu, is also a founder. The party Yashar has also attracted the support of Prof. Emeritus Manno Trajtenberg, a world-renowned economics expert.
In addition, Eisenkot has included former generals Yoav Mordechai and Chaim Klinger alongside him in his newly founded party. Maj. Gen. (res.) Prof. Yishai Bar is another military figure who has joined Yashar's founding team.
