Political Party Appoints New Figure Amidst Approaching August 16 Vote

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has appointed Abdulrahman Bashir Haske as Chairman of the Youth Advisory Committee for the upcoming Ganye Assembly Constituency by-election scheduled for August 16, 2025.

The Youth Advisory Committee, comprising various members including Hon. Nuruddeen Hamanyero, Barr. Dedan Pwadi Hoki, Dr. Tahir Abubakar Girei, Musa Terrang (PhD), Lamido Hamza Abdullah, Salihu Mohammed Harbingiwa, Huzaifa Sanusi, Idris Zubairu Numan, Sa'adu Adamu Namtari, Hon. Khalil Sajo, Dauda Kushu, Isah Garba Mayo, Lukman D. Wise, Shehu Baba-Jacob, and Hon. Yakubu Bello Bashir, will play a strategic role in mobilising grassroots support and driving youth participation in the electoral process.

The APC has reaffirmed its commitment to a peaceful, transparent, and successful by-election in Adamawa State. During a meeting with the APC leader in Adamawa State, Nuhu Ribadu, discussions covered preparations for the by-election, party matters, and strategies to strengthen political ties and grassroots support.

Abdulrahman Bashir Haske commended Ribadu's leadership style, noting his inclusivity and achievements in both party and national assignments. The APC has not announced any changes to its campaign strategy or team for the by-election, nor provided updates on voter registration, turnout, or other logistical matters related to the by-election.

The APC has not responded to any comments or criticisms from political opponents or opposition parties. The party has also not announced any plans for post-election activities or celebrations.

In the previous elections, the APC's candidate, Misa Musa, secured a victory with 15,923 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Buba Muhammed Joda, came in second with 15,794 votes. The APC likely focused on mobilizing a strong voter turnout and maintaining order through the presence of security personnel at polling units, which contributed to a peaceful and smooth electoral process.

As the by-election approaches, the APC and its Youth Advisory Committee will continue to focus on ensuring a successful outcome, with the goal of maintaining and building on the party's momentum in Adamawa State.
