Political gathering at the Landtag building in Baden-Württemedberg
The city of Pforzheim is set to host a Politics Workshop on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Kulturhaus Osterfeld. This workshop, organised by the International Advisory Board of the city of Pforzheim and Baden-Württemberg's state association of local migrant representatives (LAKA), aims to encourage active participation in the political and cultural life of the city.
The Politics Workshop series offers training courses on political education with a supporting program, designed to help both locals and newcomers to the city contribute effectively to the processes. Registration for the workshop can be done via email at [email protected].
This particular workshop in the series will focus on the topic of migration and politics. It will address questions such as what migration is, who is allowed to come to Germany, what needs to be considered, why people immigrate, and what rights they have. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a discussion round with a member of each parliamentary party group.
Last year's workshop included a visit to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament building and discussion rounds with members of each parliamentary party group. However, this year's event will not feature a visit to the parliament building. All citizens of Pforzheim aged 16 and above, regardless of their nationality, are welcome to attend.
After the workshop, there will be a ceremonial certificate handover. All information about the workshop can be found at www.internationaler-beirat.pforzheim.de/projekte. For the most accurate and up-to-date details, we recommend checking the official Pforzheim city website or contacting local cultural or political institutions.
